Lucas Scott - quotes

-“Regret comes in all shapes and sizes. Some are small like when we do a bad thing for a good reason. Some are bigger like when you let down a friend. Some of us escape the pain of regret by making the right choice. Some of us have little time for regret because we're looking forward to the future. Sometimes we have to fight to come to terms with the past, and sometimes we bury our regret by promising to change your own ways.
But, our biggest regrets are not for the things we did -- but, for the things we didn't do. Things we didn't say that could've save someone that we care about. Especially when we can see the dark storm that's headed their way."
-“Truth is still absolute. Believe that. Even when that truth is hard and cold, and more painful than you've ever imagined. And even when truth is more cruel than any lie.”
-It's always gonna be there, isn't it? You and me.
-Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty this hatred. How did it find us, did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us that we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return but knowing some will be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name...is it your name?
-John Steinbeck once wrote, 'Change comes like a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn, and it comes like a stealthy perfume of wildflowers hidden in the grass.'
-Remember tonight, for it is the beginning of always.
A promise. Like a reward for persisting through life so long alone.
A belief in each other and the possibility of love.
A decision to ignore, simply rise above the pain of the past.
A covenant, which at once binds two souls and yet severs prior ties.
A celebration of the chance taken and the challenge that lies ahead.
For two will always be stronger than one, like a team braced against the tempest civil world.
And love will always be the guiding force in our lives. For tonight is mere formality.
Only an announcement to the world of feelings long held. Promises made long ago.
In the sacred spaces of our hearts.
-If you could go back and change just one thing about your life, would you? and if you did, would that change make your life better? Or would that change ultimately break your heart? or break the heart of another? would you choose an entirely different path? or would you change just one thing? just one moment. one moment that you always wanted back..
-Lucas quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson: 'There is no privacy that cannot be penetrated. No secret can be kept in the civilized world. Society is a masked ball where everyone hides his real character and reveals it by hiding.'
-Who knows where life will take you, the road is long and in the end the journey is the destination.
-The heart knows reason which reason does not know
-Do you ever wonder if we make moments in our lives, or if the moments in our lives make us?
-Happiness comes in many forms.
In the company of good friends,
in the feeling you get when you make someone else’s dreams come true,or in a promise of hope renewed.
It’s ok to let yourself be happy,
because you never know how great that happiness might be.
Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life,
that you expect it to always be there,
because you can’t remember a time in your life when it wasn’t.
But then one day you feel something else.
Something that feels wrong only because it’s so unfamiliar,
and in that moment you realize you’re happy.
-Passion unattended is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
-It doesn't mean anything if you can't hit the shot
-There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on the path while others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be honored by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or to simply give up.
-Stephen King once wrote: "Time takes it all, whether you want it to or not. Time takes it all, time bears it away, and in the end there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and sometimes we lose them there again."
-Have you ever wondered what marks our time here? If one life can really make an impact on the world? Or if the choices we make matter? I believe they do. And I believe that one man can change many lives... for better or worse!
-E.E. Cummings once wrote: 'To be nobody but yourself- in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else- means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.'
-There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroads. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. And, of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back.
-William Shakespeare once wrote: 'Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds. It is an ever fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken. Love alters not with time’s brief hours and weeks, but bears it out even to the edge of doom.'
-Robert Louis Stevenson once wrote: You cannot run away from a weakness; you must sometimes fight it out or perish.
-Sometimes it's easy to feel like you're the only one in the world who's struggling, who's frustrated, or unsatisfied at barely getting by. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on; just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes, someone to help us hear the music in the world. To remind us that it won’t always be this way. That someone is out there, and that someone will find you.
-What's more important? What we become, or how we become it?
-Just think, you could be a big part of someone else's life and not know it.
-Do you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? Makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other people’s lives have we been in? Were we a part of someone’s life when their dreams came true? Or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in as is if we were somehow destined to be there? Or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think. You could be a big part of someone else’s life and not know it.
-As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone.
-Henry James wrote, "Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact."
-John Steinbeck once wrote.. "It seems to me that if you or I must choose between two courses of thought or action, we should remember our dying, and try so to live, that our death brings no pleasure on the world.."
-Sometimes I wonder if anything is absolute anymore. Is there still right and wrong, good and bad, truth and lies? Or is everything negotiable? Left to interpretation. Gray?
-You've ever wonder how long it takes to change your life?
what measure of time is enough to be life altering? is it four
years like high school, one year, an eight year rock tour, can
your life change in a month, a week, or a single day? we are
always in a hurry to grow, to go places, to get ahead but
when you ' re young, one hour can change everything
-Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real, you didn't know what to believe?
-Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists. It is real. It is possible. It is yours.
-Some say ravens point travelers in the right direction, some say a single raven is a sight of good fortune to come, but a sight of many ravens means trouble ahead.
-But if you're always looking for reasons not to be with somebody, and you always find 'em, then I guess at some point maybe you should let go and give your heart what it deserves.
-Ida Scott Taylor once wrote: Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering.
-Tree Hill is a place, and if you look close enough.. you may see someone, someone like you just trying to find their way
-Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes, a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment... every part of it... will live on forever.
-It's you. When all my dreams come true, the one I want next to me is you.
-At the end of the day it's the choices you make that count.
-Haley fell in love with you when you were a lesser person, maybe you should remember Haley even when she's lesser too.
-Life comes rushing at you from out of the darkness. When it does, is there someone in your life you can count on? Someone who will watch over you when you stumble and fall? And will their love for you help them to guide you to the light?
-You can find the good in anybody if you just give them a chance, benefit of the doubt. Sometimes people disappoint you, sometimes they surprise you, but you never really get to know them until you listen for what's in their heart. that's what we should do. so for all you skeptics out there. prepare to be surprised
-When so many are lonely, as seem to be lonely, it would be inexcusably selfish, to be lonely alone. - Tennessee Williams
-Regret makes you old, and bitterness poisons the people around you.
-Graduation day, Tree Hill High. A day when we officially leave the refuge of high school and begin our real lives. But what of those lives, as we go into the world? What matters most? Is it about the things we create? The things we achieve? The awards we win? Is it about who we are when we fail?
-Oliver Wendell Holmes once said:
“Many people die with their music still in them.
Too often is it because they are always getting
ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out
-Perhaps we all give the best of our hearts uncritically…to those who hardly think about us in return
-Life is short, and opportunities are rare and we have to be vigilant in protecting them. And not only the opportunities to succeed but the opportunity to laugh, to see the enchantment in the world and to live. Because life doesn’t owe us anything, as a matter of fact, I think that we owe something to the world. And if we can just believe…
-Life kicks you around sometimes.
It scares you and it beats you up.
But there's one day when you realize
you're not just a survivor. You're a fighter.
You're tougher than anything
life throws your way. And you are
-Our biggest regrets are not for the things we have done but for the things we haven’t done and said that might have saved some one we card about.
-As we strain to grasp the things we desire, the things we think will make our life better, money, popularity, fame, we ignore the things that truly matter. The simple things like friendship, family, love, the things we probably already had.
-Joseph Condrad once wrote: Who knows what true happiness is? Not the conventional word but the naked terror. To the lonely themselves it wears a mask. The most miserable outcast hugs some memory or some illusion.
-People make mistakes, but if they're willing to put the past behind them, then we should too
-I think things would be a lot easier I know if we never left I wouldn't have lost Brooke, twice, and Keith and Jimmy would still be alive.
-There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroads; afraid, confused, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments will define us for the rest of our days. Of course, when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back. But once in a while people push onto something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone, and just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in, or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream. Because it's only when you're tested that you discover who you truly are. And it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be. The person you want to be does exist, somewhere on the other side of hard work, faith and belief. And beyond the heartache and fear of what lies ahead.
-Sometimes it's easy to feel like you're the only one in the world who's struggling. Who's frustrated, or unsatisfied, or barely getting by. That feeling is a lie. And if you just hold on, just find the courage to face it all for another day. Someone or something will find you and make it all okay. ....Because we all need a little help sometimes.....Someone to help us hear the music in the world, to remind us that it won't always be this way. -[To Peyton] Hey. So I saw Nathan in the shower... yeah, no wonder you broke up with him.
-You ever wake up from a really good dream, try to get back to sleep? Or you got the flu, and you promise yourself that you'll appreciate normal so much more if you could just get back to it? That's the way I feel. I just want things to go back to the way they were
-Look, I wanna throw a party for Nathan and Haley. Ok. You know, everyone's been so weirded out about them getting married that no body's stepping up and saying, hey, it's cool, let's celebrate. We're their friends; we should do this for 'em. And, since nobody plans a party better than you (points to Brooke), and nobody rocks a party better than you (points to Peyton), I was hoping the three of us could work it out.
-You don't have to say anything, just listen. My dad didn't want me okay. Not that he just didn't want to claim me, he didn't want me to be born.
-Did you ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many people have pictures of you. How many moments of other peoples life have we been in. -Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred, how did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? -‘Who knows what true happiness is,… not the conventional word,… but the naked terror. To the lonely themselves, that wears a mask, the most miserable outcast,… hugs some memory,… or some illusion.
-It doesn't mean anything if you can't hit the shot
-This kid is going to have a great uncle
-Okay, the point is...you want to express yourself but you don't want people to know it's you
-And I didn't die, I couldn't die. Do you know why? because I had to come back and look into those green eyes of yours and tell you I love you, I do, I love you Peyton. You didn't push me away, I came back for you and no matter how long it takes, I'll wait for you.
-Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real, you didn't know what to believe?
-Tree Hill is a place, and if you look close enough.. You may see someone, someone like you just trying to find their place, their way and their self.
-It's you. When all my dreams come true, the one I want next to me is you.

-Suddenly it was as if the roar of the crowd, the echo of the final buzzers, the cheers of my teammates were all sounding from 1,000 miles away, and what remained in that bizarre, muffled silence was only Peyton. The girl whose art, passion, and beauty had changed my life. In that moment, my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity. The realization that we had always been meant for each other and every instinct to the contrary had simply been a denial of the following truth - I was now and would always be in love with Peyton Sawyer.
-My name is Lucas Scott. I'm the new head basketball coach of the Tree Hill Ravens. This is Antwon Taylor. He's the new assistant head coach. You want our credentials? (points to the state championship banner) They're hanging right there. I must congratulate you. For some of you, it took only four years to destroy the legacy coach Durham took 35 years to build. Nice work. So, as of today, all 12-roster spots are available. It doesn't matter if you played last year. In three days, we'll have our final roster. If you want to be on it, then I would advise you go hard.
-We had a relationship. We can't pretend that we didn't. But... before that, we were really close friends. There's no reason we can't have that again.
-Let me tell you how you get "always" Peyton. When a man asks you to marry him, you say yes, you don't say no!
-Hey, Jamie Scott! You better suit up too, son

-We all make sacrifices, I mean for the first time in your academic career you're getting b's.

-Lindsey will always be my number two, only because you're my number one ,just don't tell Nathan and Lindsey.
-One of these days you're gonna wake up and have that same ache in your heart and realize how much i love you . and whenever that day is i'll still be waiting for you . and you'll come home to me
-I miss you ... every day I wake up and I have this ... ache in my chest. Sometimes I just sleep in cause I know when I wake up , you aren't going to be there .

Peyton Sawyer - quotes

-"Aren’t you tired of measuring
yourself to what guys think?"
-Every song ends but is that any reason not to enjoy the music?
-Oh...that's skank! And, I think it's coming from you!
-Who knew my subconscious could be such a bitch?
-All the eyeliner in the world wont make you anything more than a psycho stalker bitch.
-'Go Brooke yourself'
-At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just not facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes... all you need is one.
-I read a poem once, about a girl who had a crush on a guy that died. She imagined him up in Heaven with all the beautiful angels. And she was jealous. Ellie is gone. I imagine her with the badass angels now, hanging out with them in their black leather jackets, causing trouble. But I'm not jealous. I just miss her.
-People are going to disappoint you, I get that, I kind of expect that but, what happens if one day you wake-up and realize you are the disappointment
-First they put away the dealers, then they put away the prostitutes, then they shooed away the bums, and beat and bashed the queers. Turned away asylum seekers, fed us suspicions and fears. We didn't raise our voice, we didn't make a fuss. It's funny, there was no one left to notice when they came for us
-It's not gonna matter anyway, whether i stay or i go because, I'm gonna love you forever, Lucas Scott.
-Life's too short-- too short to live it as a bad person.
-What difference does it make if you get with the popular guy or go to the right parties, or you know the moves to some moronic cheer to do at some lame-ass game, which I could care less about! Because at the end of the day none of it matters!
-You know what, you can’t see it, but underneath my sunglasses, I’m rolling my eyes.
-i want to draw something that means something to someone. Like when you gosee a really great band live for the first time and no one is saying it but everyone's thinking it. I want to draw that feeling, but I can't.
-your always saving me
-Why do relationships have to be so hard?
......'cause the only thing harder is being alone
-You have one chance, one life and what you do with it is up to you.
-Believe in the best of people
-Is it me? Am I the reason people always leave? Am I the reason all these things keep happening to me? Maybe I'm just destined to be alone.
-My whole world’s being ripped away from me. So is Jake’s… and yours… and all I can do is sit here and watch it happen.
-You know that feeling you get on a Sunday? When you just have the whole day to yourself, and it's been great, but then you remember you have to go to school the next day, and it ruins the whole rest of the night. I have to go home tomorrow, and I just have that feeling. It's like Sunday night.
-people always leave..
but sometimes.. they come back
-when you stop fighting, you stop living. so.. find your fight. then fight like hell 'til your battle has won.
-Someone once told there's nothing wrong with fairy tales everyone ends up happily ever after in the end
-If you’re young and you’re watching this, you guys know what you’re up against. Especially if you’re a girl. It’s sex, right? And even fifty years from now, I’m guessing it’s a still a really big deal. It’s awkward and threatening. And thrilling. But, in a way, it’s like sex is the easy part. Giving your heart to somebody. that’s the scary part.
-It's not about what you say, its about what you do. You don't like the person you've become then do something about it, because no one's gonna do it for you
-You know I've got this theory, there are two kinds of people in the world. There are lyric people and music people. You know, the lyrics people tend to be analytical. You know, all about the meaning of the song. They're the ones you see with the CD insert out like 5 minutes after buying it, pouring over the lyrics, interpreting the hell out of everything. Um, then there’s the music people, like Brooke. Who could care less for the lyrics as long as its just got like a good beat and you could dance to it. I don’t know, sometimes it might be easier to be a music girl and not a lyric girl. But since I’m not, let me just say this. Sometimes things find you when you need them to find you, I believe that. And for me its usually song lyrics.
-Imagine a future moment in your life where all your dreams come true. You know, it's the greatest moment of your life and you get to experience it with one person. Who's standing next to you?
-why does the garbage man always forget the white trash
-Missing you gets easier everyday even know it's one day longer since the last time i saw you it's one day closer to the next time i will
-Replaying the shot you missed. The shot that ended our season. The shot you probably, what, made a 1,000 times?
-My pen is the barrel of a gun. Remind me which side you should be on
-This has been one of the worst years of my life, and I needed my best friend more then ever, but you cut me out because I was honest with you! And you were never ever honest with me!
-Who knew my subconscious could be such a bitch?
-People are going to disappoint you. I get that, I kinda expect that. But, I don't know what if you wake up one day and realize you're the disappointment?
-Yes, there are things about my life that I would miss, but I'd miss you more
-It's been a tough year for hearts
-You're always saving me. Please let me find a way to save you.
-The reporters, and the psychologists, and the analysts, and the
so-called experts, and they're gonna try to make sense of this. But they're not gonna be able to. And even if we do make it out of here, we're always gonna carry it with us, it's never gonna be the same.
-All the eyeliner in the world won’t make you anything more than a psycho stalker bitch.
-I'm gonna love you forever...
- Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will
- People always leave.
- You don't understand. I've been holding this in for a really long time, and I need you to know, I love you...I'm in love with you
- Why is bitch being a Brooke?
-You made fun of my moms death Brooke! You knew her! You cried with me when she died! And now, ugh, you use her as a punch line for a joke to hurt me. Ugh it hurt. It did. But not anymore, cause you and me we're done. You're right. She's dead. And as far as I'm concerned so are you
- Many people die with their music still in them. Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live...Before they know it...time runs out.
- Only the fact that I lose everyone I care about. Anytime I open up to someone, they walk out of my life, or they die, or they move away, or they get shipped off to Iraq, or they turn into freakin Norman Bates, or...
Look the last time we kissed you had a heart attack!
- I told you I wasn’t going to say anything to Lucas until it was over between the two of you, and so yes if you had moved on then I probably would have said something by now, but you haven’t dated anyone since Lucas
- So you invited him out of spite
- At least you’re a dedicated bitch
- If you decide to get back with Lucas you better mean it because he deserves to be with someone who loves him
- Guess I’m just a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside a bitch
- Thanks for coming Pete; the guys were starting to think you were my snuffelupagus
- You have one chance, one life and what you do with it is up to you
- Pretty please with me on top
-(To Brooke): "And by the way, none of those words were, 'Yes Peyton, I love him.'"
- duck, duck, bitch
-Look around Nathan. You have a life these kids would die for and the sad thing is most of them proabably would
-It's like misery is an old friend, and it tricks you sometimes into thinking it's always going to be there, like you can't be happy, but you can. you can walk away from the pain and i think being in love is the best way to do it.
-Yeah, I didn't come here to rehash the past. I was reminded today in a roundabout way that the most perfect act of love is sacrificed. That's what Keith did for Karen, burying his feelings for her all those years so he could be a good friend. I love you Lucas. And I think I have since the first moment we locked eyes. And it's gonna suck, but if what you want is for me to let go, then I'm gonna do it. Be happy Luke. I want that with all my heart.
-Dear Molly,
This is gonna sound a little strange but I'd like you to paint over my old closet door. The thing is there is never a time when you will be more honest, and your convictions will be stronger, and your motives will be more pure than they are right now. Which means you should chase whatever excites you. Be confident, and take risks, and paint over my words so you can start writing your own. My story may have inspired you, but I'm certain your story will inspire the next girl to live in our room. I want you to know you don't need somebody to write about you in order for your life to mean something. You can write about yourself… make your own destiny. Then years from now the next girl will keep what you write on that door long enough to remind you how inspired your life is. And you can tell that girl to paint over the door because you realize the words you wrote, the friends you had, the urgency you felt will always be there under the paint. The love you professed will always be there, the spark of something undeniable, a seed of hope, the truth for better or for worse burning fiercely just below the surface. Love Peyton.
-You were wrong yesterday when you said the kids in the clubs were just there for decadence. I think it's more like romance and hope and inspiration and that feeling that you get when other human beings pick up basic instruments and make sense of your world. And the day that I think it's just aboutmaking money is gonna be the day that. I've betrayed everything I believe in about music and life and myself.
-I was there Lucas. I was so proud of you but we hadn't talked in a long time and I saw you with Lindsey and I figured you guys were together which clearly you are. I like her. I do but do you remember when you first joined the Ravens and you took all my sketches to Thud without even asking and do you remember what you said that night when you first entered the gym?
Yeah, it's like you touched my soul and a few days ago I was ready to quit again but you saved me with the words you wrote about me in your novel. So if your struggling writing the next one you should know that your art matters Lucas. It's what got me here
-Hi mom. So is there any way that there's like a cosmic loophole that could allow you to talk to me? 'Cause I could really use one of those mother/daughter talks all the other girls are raving about. Alright… well… um… Lucas has asked another girl to marry him. I know right, who does he think he is asking some beautiful, brilliant, successful editor over the unemployed girl who said someday. What do I do now mom? Where do I go from here?
-I know Brooke, I just... I'm so sick of looking at her and her precious ring
-Verbally punch you in the goodies? Yeah, that's how she says hi.
-How come I only realize what I want when I don't have it anymore
-I hate this library
-I hope you don't get tired from hauling that fat ass of yours around, just in case, there's a water fountain on the way
-Ok, do you want to see the place where I got shot and almost bled to death or what?
-Sometime when you care about someone alot you just know you will make some kind of mistake and you end up losing the person you care the most about but if your lucky you might get a second chance
-If you wanted to break my heart, there was a thousand ways to do it. But you didnt have to propose to Lindsey to hurt me. No! Dont marry her Luke! Am i crazy? Do you not feel what i have felt everyday for the last three years that we have been apart? cos i have felt that theres a vital piece of me thats missing. & i tried to fill it Luke, i tried to fill it with work & friends & music & it stayed empty til last night when you kissed me & my entire universe snapped back into focus. Lucas look me in the eye & tell me that kiss didnt feel exactly the same as it did three years ago..
-I come in here and I sit in silence and hear the echoes of who we used to be. And so I wish for patience, and grace, and strength to just let him be happy. Mostly I pray for the strength to not make his life worse because of what I want.
-I want to believe in it all again..music and art...fate and love, and I want to believe that I've made the right choices, and I'm still on the right path, and there's still time to fix some mistakes I've made....I guess I want hope
-And so I wish for patients and grace , and the strength to just let him be happy . But mostly , I pray for the strength to not make his life worse because of what I want . That's the toughest part ... letting god , you know . That's the part of grace that really sucks
-I wish I could change some of the things about how I've acted in the last couple of months. I guess I'm just disappointed in myself. You know, i told Lucas that if he loved his fiance then i would learn to be okay with that, because i wanted him to be happy. But really i just wanted us to be happy, like me and him, oh and then when he didn't marry her, I felt terrible for her, and for him, you know, his heart is breaking right now. And i come in here, and i sit in silence and hear the echoes of who we used to be. And so I wish for patience and grace and strength to just let him be happy. And mostly I pray for the strength to not make his life worse because of what I want. Thats the toughest part, letting go, you know? That's the part of grace that really sucks.

6th Season

e1- Touch Me I’m Going To Scream
Old Guy : Three simple Cards. Three beautiful ladies. It's real simple son. All you got to do is pick one.

Lucas : Alright.

Old Guy : Come on now son. Three Queens, three choices. Just follow the heart.

Lucas : That's the one.

Old Guy : Well, well. Looks like you found your Queen. Not many do. How did you know which one to pick ?

Lucas : I guess I always knew.

Old Guy : I want to tell you something son, it's the most important thing there is -- love, finding the right person to spend your life with.

Lucas : I know I made the right choice.

Old Guy : (Laughs) That's where they get you, thinking you got a choice. Love finds you son. You don't find love. Its got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, whats written in the starts, and a lot to do with the simple fact that most women are smartter than we are. And wily. But if you want to believe that you had a choice in the matter, I'd say you made a good one.

Lucas : Why is that ?

Old Guy : Because she showed up. And she sure is pretty.

(Lucas and Peyton meet and kiss)

Millicent : Hi

Brooke : You are fired.

Millicent : What ?

Brooke : You are fired. Now go to ohama.

Millicent : Brooke ?

Brooke : Let me tell you something about love, millicent huxtable. It does not knock often. And when it does, you have to let it in. You are a wonderful friend. And you are smart and beautiful and it is gonna suck to loose you, but there is a boy out there who loves you. And I know you love him back. So, now you have to get your wacky ass out of my store.

Millicent : But .......... ?? ####

Brooke : I'm gonna be fine. Okay ?

Millicent : If you need anything ...

Brooke : I just need you to be happy.

Peyton and Lucas in a Hotel room.

Peyton : Okay, open your eyes.

Lucas : This is the roome where .....----......

Peyton : You proposed to me four years ago.

Lucas : Yeah.

Peyton : You said it should be like a dream, so ..... I have this dream where we're back in the hotel room, and you propose to me, and every single time, I say yes.

Lucas : It's just a dream right ?

Peyton : But it's my dream.

e2- One Million Billionth of a Millisecond on a Sunday Morning
Lucas: When I was a kid I used to love to jump on my bed. I’d pretend I could fly. I’d pretend I
could dunk. I was happy. My mom would pass the room and shout, Lucas Scott, if you break that
box spring, you’ll be sleeping on the floor for the rest of your life.

Peyton: Well, here’s the good news if you have to sleep on the floor, I will sleep there with you.

Lucas: For the rest of your life?

Peyton: Definitely.

_______________________________________________________

Deb: Jamie I was not kissing Uncle Skills. I mean first of all, he’s your parents age and one of Uncle Lucas’s best friends. It just wouldn’t be right.
Jamie: I think it’d be cool.

Deb: Yeah?

Jamie: Yeah.......…Grandpa Skills ! ! ! !

____________________________________________________

Lucas: I thought you were going to come meet me.

Peyton: I chickened out. You’re just going to have to join the mile-high club on your own.

Lucas: I just kinda did. I’m kidding!

___________________________________________________

Q: I said they call him J Lucas so put up your dukes. The boy blowin up and the boy done shook us.
Jamie: They call him Q Fields. He’s a pretty big deal. He’s working my corner. He’s keepin it real.

_________________________________________________

Brooke: Congratulations

Peyton: It’s kinda sudden, right?

Brooke: Are you kidding? The rest of the world’s been waiting on you two idiots since high school.

___________________________________________

Jamie: When you get married, do I have to be the ring bearer again?

Lucas: Not if you don’t want to.

Jamie: Good because last time it didn’t work out so well.

________________________________________________

Nathan: I scored 35 points that night and each basket was like my own personal version of a Haley James pick-up line.

Haley: It worked.

Nathan: I played that game for you, Haley and you know what? I’d give it up for you too. Because as much as I love playing the game and the person that I am when I play it, I love being a husband and a father more.

e3 - Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.
Voiceover by Haley

Did you ever wonder what it would be like if you weren't you anymore?

If you were suddenly gone, how would your world react?

Whatever you imagined is wrong. There;s nothing romantic about death. Grief is like the Ocean. It's deep and Dark and bigger than all of us. And pain is like a thief in the night. Quiet. Persistent. Unfair. Diminished by time and faith and love. I didn’t know Quentin Fields but I’m jealous of him because I see how his absence has affected the people that did know him so I know that he did matter to them. And I know he was loved. People say Quentin Fields was a great basketball player. Graceful. Fluid. Inspiring. They say on a good night it almost seemed as though he could fly. And now he can.

_____________________________________________________

Denise (Q's mother): I wanted to thank you for standing up for my boy the way you did in that last game. It’s a shame that we have to meet like this.

Lucas: Yes, ma’am, it is.

Denise: Coach Taylor, Quentin always had so many nice things to say about you. And you too, Nathan. I really appreciate you boys comin here. But I mostly wanted to say thank you to this one. My son has always loved basketball but the day I can tell you, the day I came home and found him reading a boo, it about gave me a heart attack. He said, Mommy, Mrs. James-Scott, she don’t play. She almost as bad as you are. I realize that you are all trying to help him live up to the greatness God gave him and you should be proud of that.

Haley: Your strength is inspiring.

Denise: My strength is from Jesus Christ. I am going to miss my baby boy for the rest of this life but I know we are going to see him again and our faith will see us through.

_______________________________________________________

Lucas: Quentin, uh... was a great kid. he was the leader of this team and i know that he was your friend. I wish... I could take this pain away, but I can't and I'm sorry.

Skills: It's okay to feel angry. It's okay to feel the pain. It's even okay to hate the person that did this, but when that anger and that pain and that hate becomes too much for you, you come see me, nate or luke. Understand? We are your family, and we gonna get through this togeather.

Nathan: You guys know that Q was working out with me, helping me with my game. And that's how I am gonna remember him......strong, happy, playing the game he loved. I want you all to find your own best memories of Q and hold onto them. 'cause that's where he still lives, and he always will.

_______________________________________________

Peyton (to Brooke): Life's too short Brooke, to fight, to be miserable....... to let the bitter ones change how awesome you are.
____________________________________________________

Nathan: Having dealt with parent insanity, I just wanted to check your head and see how you are doing. The thing is, the two of us have been down very similar roads. I mean, we were in the same cliques. We both felt the same pressures, same expectations. Our parents were like children. And we both grew into kind bad versions of ourselves way too fast. So I think you know and get it.

Brooke: They never really gave us a chance did they? Our parents?

Nathan: They didn’t know how. Look the thing is you made your dream happen, alrught? And even though I didn't quite get there, when it was taken away from me, I dealt with it alone. That was stupid, selfish and wrong. So if your mom tries to take your dream away from you and you feel that same pain like I did, I’ve sort of been there okay? .... And I’m going to be kind of pissed off if you don’t come talk to me about it. Thank you for coming today. It means a lot. I know you didn't know quentin, but....... it doesn't surprise me that you're thinking about other people when all this stuff is going on with you. That's not bad for a girl who never had a chance. Come here. (Nathan and Brookr Hug).

________________________________________________

Jamie: I want to go. Quentin was my friend and I want to say good-bye too.
Haley: It’s going to be really sad, buddy.
Jamie: I’m already sad.
Haley: You’re right. Quentin is your friend and a good one You should say goodbye.
________________________________________________
Haley (in class): You know what? Um....you guys asked me what the point was to all of this, school, literature................life. And , uh ........ I said there was no point. And that's not true. What I should have said was, "I don't know". Because the truth is, not long ago, I sat where you are and wondered exactly the same things. When something that's tragic and evil and unexplainable happend like losing someone forever...........I still wonder .......... just like you do. Alright, everybody, get out a piece of paper and pen.
Samantha: Why?
Haley: Because this is a literature class. When archaeologists uncoverlost cicilizations and they unearth their worlds that have long been since been destroyed, you know what they find most often? They find stories ...... ancient languages, words, inscriptions from people who have been gone for thousand of years, because chances are, like you, they wanted to know, "Whats the point ?". And they wanted us to know that they were here, you know ? .......... like......... they told their stories, and they tried to make sense of their lives and their worlds and their tragedies. So that's what we are gonna do. So I want you to write something, anything at all, about Quentin Fields. If you knew him, write a favorite memory. If you didn't know him, write what you think the point is of all this for yourself and your life and your time here. This is a literature class and that's what writes do. We put pen to paper in times of devastating tragedy. And we try and make sense of it. Maybe we will find some clarity in some of those words. Maybe we will find peace.
Haley takes a marker and writes on Quentin's desk: "He who does not weep, does not see."

e4- Bridge Over Troubled Water

Lucas VO: The hardest part of saying goodbye is having to do it again every single day. Every day we face the same truth that life is fleeting that our time here is short and to honor the fallen we must live our own lives well.

Lucas: It’s funny, you know all these years we called him Skills, I always thought it had something to do with basketball.
Nathan: Not funny.
Lucas: Kinda funny.

Skills: Deb broke up with me.
Haley: Well, I guess you can tussle with a cougar but you’re gonna get bit.
Skills: Everyone thinks it’s a big joke.
Haley: Deb’s done a lot of wacky things in her life…we just never thought you’d be one of them.

Jamie: Is it because she was kissing Uncle Skills?
Nathan: You knew about that?
Jamie: Yeah, they tried to pretend he was getting something out of her eye but they were just being mushy.
Nathan: And how does it feel to be scarred for life?
Jamie: Fine. I like Nanny Deb and I like Uncle Skills so what if they like each other?
Nathan: It’s a little more complicated than that. Nanny Deb is also my mom.
Jamie: Yeah, but I let you kiss My mom.
Nathan: Eat your soup.

Brooke: Congratulations, Victoria, now you have a company and no daughter. You got your dream.

Carrie: It’s a good thing you can’t talk Chester…otherwise….you’d be my dinner tonight…..mmmmm….tasty….

e5- You have dug your own grave, now lie in it

Voiceover by Lucas, Nathan, Dan, Brooke.

They say we leave this world just the way we came into it ---- naked and alone.

So, if we do leave with nothing, What then, is a measure of a life ? Is it defined by the people we choose to love ?

Or is life simply measured by our accomplishments ?

And what if we fail ? or are never truly loved ? What then ? Can we ever measure up ?

Or will the quiet desperation of a life gone wanting, Drive us mad ?

______________________________________________

Brooke: I caught a young girl shoplifting the other day. I was pretty hard on her.

Psy: Did you feel threatened by her ?

Brooke: No, I actually felt myself feeling jealous. I realize I let company matter too much. You know, we spend all this time building something up, And then we don't enjoy it. We just sit there, terrified that someone is gonna take it away from us. And there was this girl, and she didn't answer to anything or anyone. And that made me jealous.

Psy: What are yoou going to do about that, with regards to your company ?

Brooke: Well, it doesn't matter, I don't have to worry about clother over bros anymore.

Psy: And why is that ?

Brooke: I gave it all away. I signed the company over to victoria. Do you think that I was foolish to give my company to my mother ?

Psy: Do you think you were foolish ?

Brooke: Do you always answer a question with another question ?

Psy: Does it bother you ? ............................... In my humble opinion, it was never going to be your company, as long as she was part of it.

Brooke: After I did it I felt great. At first, I felt liberated, but now I just feel kind of empty. Everything that I worked for is gone. I just have this store. And even that's empty now.

Psy: That freedom you were jealous of can be scary sometimes. Have you talked to anyone else about it ?

Brooke: No. .......................... I saw my best friend today, and I couldn't bring myself to tell her.

Psy: Why do you think that was ?

Brooke: I don't know. I feel a little.......... A little bit like I failed. You know ? I am watching ll my friends move on with their lives, Haley and her family, and millicent is moving to be with mouth, and Peyton with Lucas and they are all moving forward. And its like I am stuck here, standing still, and ......

Psy: Brooke, you're 22 yers old and the founder of a multi million dollar corporation. I'd hardly call that standing still.

Brooke: But its gone.

Psy: You will do something else. You are intelligent, you are creative. You will figure it out. But that's not the real question.

Brooke: then what is ?

Psy: All you have talked about is your work, brooke. But when you mention your friends being happy, you define happiness strictly in terms of relationship and family. The question is, Why are you so insistent on going through life alone ?
_____________________________________________________

Lucas: I never meant to hurt you. Not then and not now.

Lindsey: I know. the thing is, I saw it coming all along. I just tried to wish it away. It wasn't fair to me or to you.

Lucas: Well, I should go, I'm gonna miss my flight.

Lindsey: Okay. You forgot something (hands the novel Comet to Lucas). You know the first time we met right here. I told you I was pulling for the couple in the book. Goodbye Lucas.

e-24 Remember Me as a Time of Day

Mouth: Take a look at yourself in a mirror who do you see looking back?
Haley: Is it the person you want to be?
Dan: Or is there someone else you were meant to be the person you were meant to be but fell short of?
Mia: Is someone telling you you can’t or won’t? Because you can.
Chase: Believe that love is out there.
Nathan: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Peyton: Sometimes happiness doesn’t come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from good friends and family and the quiet nobility of leading a good life.
Julian: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Brooke: Believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.
Peyton: So take a look in that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be. Believe that.
Lucas: And believe that dreams come true every day. Because they do.

5th Season

e4- In Between Days
Peyton: Brooke, What's wrong ?

Brooke(sobbing and eating ice-cream): The store is a total failure.

Peyton: What are you talking about ?

Brooke: I didn't sell one real piece tonight. Well, i sold a dress. But it was a pity purchase and it does not count. And the worst part is that Victoria saw this all coming. My mother is right - when i am left up to my own devices, I'm a failure.

Peyton: No. Hey, listen to me. You were never a failure, okay? I mean you won three cheerleading competitions, And what did Victoria have to say about that? Oh wait nothing ! cause' she wasn't there. She also wasn't there when you won the miss june bug title at the county fair Or when you were elected the student body president. Brooke if you are a failure then what does it make me ?

Brooke: Pretty lame, i guess.

Peyton: mmm.....Hmm

Brooke: Okay, I don't want to talk about my night anymore. Tell me about the dishy bartender.

e05- I forgot to remember to forget
Flashback

Coach Durham: That was hell of a move tonight.

Nathan: Soon as the ball left my hand, i knew it was going in.

Coach Durham: I'm talking about after the game. Look, I didn't put off my pension so you can beat up any jack ass that heckles you.

Nathan: I know. I'm sorry.

Coach Durham: You've worked hard this season. A lot of eyes are on you. But you've get to be careful. If you are not that temper of yours will be all you have left.

Nathan: I just don't know if people are ever gonna forget the mistakes I've made.

Coach Durham: The important thing is for you to get past them. This is not going to go away just by playing better. You've to live better.

Nathan: I know. You are right i get it coach.

Coach Durham: Nathan, I just don't want you to look back down the road in a couple of years and wonder what might have been. We all know where that path can lead a man.

Nathan: Dan.

Coach Durham(smiles): For the record, that last shot was a hell of a move.
____________________________________________________________

Lucas: Hey, Coach !

Coach Durham: Hey!

Lucas: So, 37 years of coaching, where does this night rank?

Coach Durham: Well, this would be number 3. Number two was your high-school championship.

Lucas: And what was the first?

Coach Durham: The first was the night Camilla agreed to join a scrawny kid, just embarking on a 37 year coaching career.

Lucas: There are more important thinmgs in life than basketball.

Coach Durham: That's right.
____________________________________________________

Lucas and Lindsey meeting for the first time.

Lucas: I just wanted to say thank you for changing my life.

Lindsey: That was all you Lucas. But can I ask you something ?

Lucas: Yeah.

Lindsey: The Luke and Peyton in the novel....

Lucas: No.

Lindsey: I'm Sorry. I was rooting for them.

e07- In Da Club
Lucas: Lemme ask you something. Do you have an alarm in your head that goes off every time I'm happy with someone else? Wht do you want from me? I fly to L.A., I ask you to marry me. You said no, so I moved on. Why haven't you?

Peyton: 'Cause I should have said yes. Luke, I was young. And was scared. And I did not realize that by saying I wasn't ready, it would mean that we would never be together again. Had i known that, I would have said yes.

Lucas: Peyton .....

Peyton: No, Luke, I miss you everyday. And i have told everyone here that I didn't come back for you. But I did. Ofcourse I did. I still love you lucas.

Lucas: Peyton I...........

Peyton: You still love me don't you?

Lucas: I have to go see Lindsey.

e08- Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want
Voiceover by Lucas:

Suddenly, it was as if roar of the crowd, the echo of the final buzzer, the cheers of my teammates were all sounding from a thousand miles away. And what remained in that bizzare muffled silence was only peyton, the girl whose art and passion and beauty had changed my life. In that moment, my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity, the realization that we had always been meant for each other, and every instinct to the contrary had simply been a denial of the following truth. I was now and would always be in love with Peyton Sawyer.

Voiceover by Peyton:

Dear Molly, this is gonna sound a little strange, but I'd like you to paint over my old closet door. The thing is, there is never a time when you'll be more honest, when your convictions will be stronger or your motives will be more pure than they are right now. Which means you should chase whatever it is that excites you. Be confident and take risks. And paint over my words so you can start writing your own. My story might have inspired you, but I'm certain your story will inspire the next girl to live in our room. I want you to know you don't need somebody to write about yoi in order for your life to mean something. You can write about yourself. Make your own destiny. Then, years from now, the next girl will keep what you write on that door long enough to remind you of how inspired your life is. And you can tell that girl to paint over the door, because you realize the words you wrote, the friends you had, the urgency you felt will always be there underneath the paint. The love you professed will always be there, the spark of something undeniable, a seed of hope, the truth, for better or for worse, burning fiercely, just below the surface. Love, Peyton.

e09-For Tonight You're Only Here To Know
Voiceover by Mouth:

Take a look at this picture. What do you see? There's a high school basketball game tonight somewhere in america, and there's a great story there. But sometimes, to find it, you have to look away.... into the shadows, on the fringe of the obvious. Can you see it ? Look Closer.

There was a high school basketball game tonight somewhere in america. A team won and a team lost. That's not the real story. The real story is about fathers and sons. Its about time and life. And change. Girls and Boys went to the game. They dressed up and hoped to fir in. Some did. Some didn't. It is a story that has history and chapters yet to be written.

e11-Your Gonna Need Someone On Your Side
Voiceover by Lucas:

Albert Camus once wrote, "Blessed are the hearts that can bend. They shall never be broken." But I wonder.... If there's no breaking, then there's no healing. And if there's no healing, then there is no learning. And if there's no learning, then there's no struggle. But the struggle is a part of life, So must all hearts be broken ?

e12- Hundred
Voiceover by Lucas:

When I was aboy, my family took me on a trip. We didn't go to any exotic place. We didn't go anywhere glamorous. We just drove. We drove the back road to the tree hill, and we saw all kinds of wonderful things. But we ended up really wasn't the point. It was the things we saw and the people we met along the way. Something happened that day....... something magical. My Uncle let me drive. That was one of the best days of my life. Just like today.

e13-Echoes Silence Patience and Grace
Voiceover by Peyton, Lucas, Brooke, Nathan and Haley:

Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it's right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it. You just might get the thing you're wishing for. The world is full of magic. You just have to believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it. With all your heart.

e14-What Do You Go Home To
Morning time, people getting up thinking about the people they love.

Lucas: Lindsey. She's the first thing i think about every day. "How is she?" "Does she miss me like i miss her?" "How do i get her back?" And then another day without her begins.

Peyton: Lucas.

Jamie: Chester.

Brooke: Brooke. Oh, my god. I have to pee.

Skills: What day is it? What time is it? What the hell did i drink last night?

Marvin: Umm....Millecent, you smell so good. I have to go to work. Sure I guess I could be a little late.

Haley, Nathan: Jamie.

Dan: Keith.
________________________________________________

Voiceover by Dan:

It's been said that the saddest thing a man will ever face is what might have been ? But what of the man who's faced with what was? Or what may never be? Or what can no longer be? Choosing the right path is never easy. It's a decision we make with only our hearts to guide us. But sometimes we find our way to something better. Sometimes we fight through the regret and remorse of our mistakes, our malice and our jealously and the shame we feel for not being the people we were meant to be. And that's when we find our way to something better or something better finds its way to us.

e15- Life Is Short
Voiceover by Lucas:

Sometimes when you're young, you think nothing can hurt you. It's like being invincible. Your whole life is ahead of you, and you have big plans. Big plans. To find your perfect match. The one that completes you. But as you get older, you realize it's not always that easy. It's not until the end of your life that you realize how the plans you made were simply plans. At the end, when you're looking back instead of forward, you want to believe that you made the most of what life gave you. You want to believe that you're leaving something good behind. You want it all to have mattered.

e16- Cryin' Won't Help You Now
Voiceover by Lucas:

There were many who couldn't understand, and sometimes he walked among them. But even in his darkest hours, he knew in his heart, that someday it would return to him. And his world would be whole again. And his belief in god and love and art would be reawakened in his heart.

4th Season

e01- The same deep water as you
Voiceover by Lucas

"My name is Lucas Scott I'm a senior at Tree Hill High School. Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world, maybe it's a lot like your world; maybe it's nothing like it. But, if you look closer, you might see someone like you; or, someone like my best friend Haley. If you're married, a senior in high school, and not sure if your husband is still alive, your world is a lot like Haley's. Today was supposed to be the best day of her life. But, it's amazing how things can change in a blink of an eye, or in this case, in about 29 minutes."

"The things that take 14 minutes: boiling an ostrich egg, Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video, it also takes 14 minutes to get from the Melina Bridge to Tree Hill Hospital. In those 14 minutes, three lives hung in the balance. For the rest of us there was nothing to do but wait. I guess that’s why they call in the waiting room."

"'Someone should call Dan.' Dan Scott is many things: the mayor of Tree Hill, the once great high school baseball player, and Nathan’s father. He's also my father, but he never claimed me. Believe it or not, I got the better end of the deal. I was instead raised by my mom with the help of my Uncle Keith, until Keith’s life was taken."

"Peyton Sawyer is a good friend. Brooke Davis is my girlfriend, at least for now she is."

"I guess I should have said something, anything. I mean for a guy who wants to be a writer, it suddenly seemed like no words had ever been written, but when someone tells you that they somehow stopped missing you, you're pretty much screwed no matter what you say. See, but there had to be something, right? Something that no one had ever said in the history of the world, something that could change this. That wasn't it." [ During his break-up with Brooke ]

"My name is Lucas Scott; I am a senior at Tree Hill High School. I play basketball, at least I used to. I have a girlfriend, at least I used to. And, I have a best friend. Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world. Maybe it's nothing like it. But, if you look closely you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way; someone trying to find their place; someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it’s easy to feel like you’re the only one in the world who's struggling, who’s frustrated, or unsatisfied at barely getting by. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on; just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes, someone to help us hear the music in the world. To remind us that it won’t always be this way. That someone is out there, and that someone will find you."

e02 - Things i forget at birth
Voiceover by Lucas

"There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroads. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days."

"And, of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back."

"There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroads."

"But, once in a while, people push onto something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone. And just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in."

"Or to give someone a second chance."

"Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream."

"Because, it's only when you’re tested that you truly discover who you are."

"And, it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be."

"The person you want to be does exist; somewhere on the other side of hard work and faith and belief. And, beyond the heartache and fear of what lies ahead."

e03 - Good news for people who love bad news
Voiceover by Lucas

"You ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you, how many moments of other peoples lives have we been in, we're we a part of someone's life when their dreams came true, or were we there when their dreams died. Did we keep trying to get in, as if we were somehow destined to be there, or did the shot take us by surprise. Just think, you could be a big part of someone else's life, and not even know it."

e04 - Can't stop this thing we started
Voiceover by Lucas

"There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment, you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on path? Will others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be haunted by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or simply give up."

"There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment who will you be? Will you let down your defenses, and find solace in someone unexpected? Will you reach out? Will you face your greatest fear bravely? And move forward with faith. Or will you succumb to the darkness in your soul?"

e06 - Where did you sleep last night
Voiceover by Lucas

"Life comes at us from out of the darkness. And at times we can struggle to find the courage to face it."

"When life comes rushing at you from our of the darkness, who will you choose to face it with? Will it be someone you trust? Will they be wise? And will their love for you help them to guide you to the light? Or will they lose their way in the darkness? Will they make noble choices? Or will that person be someone untested, someone new? Life comes rushing at you from out of the darkness, when it does -- is there someone in your life you can count on? Someone who will watch over you when you stumble and fall? And in that moment, give you the strength to face your fears alone?"

e07 - All these things that i have done
Voiceover by Lucas

"Regret comes in all shapes and sizes.

Especially when we can see the dark storm that's headed their way."

e10 - Songs to love and die by
Voiceover by Lucas

"Have you ever wondered what marks our timing? If one life can really make an impact on the world? Or if the choices we make matter? Sometimes in order to move forward, you have to go back. In this case, just a few minutes."

"Have you ever wondered what marks our timing? If one life can really make an impact on the world? Or if the choices we make matter? I believe they do. And I believe that one man can change many lives... for better, or worse."

e13 - Pictures of you
Voiceover by Lucas

"Do you ever wonder how long it takes to change your life? What measure of time is enough to be life altering? Is it four years like high school? One year? An eight week rock tour? Can your life change in a month, or a week, or a single day? We're always in a hurray to grow up, to go places, to get ahead. And when you're young, one hour can change everything."

"I wish I would have hung out with Glenda before today. Something tells me she could have been a great friend. But it's good to know there is still a little time left to do that. And I also learned her last name. And I learned, that one hour, can change everything."

e14 - Sad songs for dirty lovers
Voiceover by Lucas

"Do you ever wonder if we make the moments in our lives or if the moments in our lives make us?"

"If you could go back and change one thing about your life, would you? And if you did, would that change make your life better? Or would that change ultimately break your heart? Or break the heart of another? Or would you choose an entirely different path? Or would you change just one thing, just one moment? One moment, that you've always wanted back."

3rd Season

e01 - Like You Like An Arsonist
Peyton: "At this moment, there are 6 billion, 4 hundred, 71 million, 8 hundred, 18 thousand, 6 hundred, 71 people in the world. Some are running scared.. some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day.. others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men at war with good, and some are good.. struggling with evil. 6 billion people in the world, 6 billion souls -- and sometimes.. all you need is 1."

e02 - From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea
Lucas: "Henry David Thoreau once wrote: 'Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit and resign yourself to the influences of each."

e03 - First Day On a Brand New Planet

"Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote: 'All are architects of fate... so look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again."

e06 - Locked Hearts And Hand Grenades
Lucas: "Out of the night that covers me, black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeoninga of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade, and yet the menace of the years finds, shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul."
Invictus

e08 - The Worst Day Since Yesterday
Lucas: "Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag and begin slitting throats."

e14 - All Tomorrow's Parties
Peyton: "I read a poem once about a girl who had a crush on a guy who died. She imagined him up in heaven with all the beautiful angels, and she was jealous. Ellie is gone, I imagine her with the bad ass angels now. Hanging out with them in their black leather jackets, causing trouble. But, I'm not jealous, I just miss her."

Lucas: "Most of our life is a series of images. They pass us by like towns on the highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens. And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever.'"

e16 - With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept
Lucas: "Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred. How did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us? That we now send our children into the world like we send young men into war, hoping for their safe return. But knowing that some will be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows, swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?"

e18 - When it isin't like it should be
Lucas: "Henry James once wrote: 'Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact."

e19 - I slept with someone from Fall Out Boy and all i got was this stupid song written about me
Lucas: "George Eliot once wrote: 'There is no despair so absolute as that which comes with the first moments of our first great sorrow, when we have not yet known what it is to have suffered and healed, to have despaired and have recovered hope."

e20 - Everyday is a sunday evening
Voiceover by Nathan

"Stepping up. It's a simple concept. It basically means to rise above yourself; to do a little more, to show you something special. Something like this. Lucas is gone, but that doesn't mean the season is over. As a matter of fact, I say it's just beginning. You might want to stay out of my way for a while. Life's funny sometimes; can push pretty hard like when you fall in love with someone but they forget to love you back, like when your best friend and your boyfriend leave you alone, like when you pull the trigger or light the flame and you can't take it back. Like I said, in sports they call this 'stepping up'. In life, I call it 'pushing back".'

"You know it's been said that we just don't recognize the significant moments of our lives while they're happening. We grow complacent with ideas, or things or people and we take them for granted and it's usually not until that thing is about to be taken away from you that you've realized how wrong you've been that you realized how much you need it, how much you love it. God, I love this game."

"You ever heard the expression 'The best things in live are free.' Well that expression is true.' Every once in a while, people step up they rise above themselves sometimes they surprise you and sometimes they fall short. Life is funny sometimes. It can push pretty hard but if you look close enough, you can find hope in the words of children, in the bars of the song and in the eyes of someone you love. And if you're lucky, if you're the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back."

"Now as the wedding day approached, the Princess worried about the evil King. Because, although he had not always been this way his heart had grown dark and his kingdom had grown to fear and despise him."

"In the days before the wedding the king surprised the Princess and gave his blessing to the marriage. But, the Princess was still torn for even though she had found her true love it meant she would have to faithful handmaiden behind forever."

"On the eve of the Princess's wedding a lavish feast was arranged. Friends and royalty were summoned from lands far away to join the happy couple for a night of laughter and magic."

"As the night wore on a calm fell upon the land and all was right in the land, if only for a moment."

"But the people had their struggles as all people do and they had grown to fear and despise the King, whose heart had grown dark."

"But in the end the love between the Princess and the boy was undeniable and true. And, over time that love would see them through anything. Magical things happened to them, things they couldn’t explain, much like love its self. And, like most fairy tales the Princess and the boy lived happily ever after... at least I hope they do."

e22 - The Show must go on

"At this moment there are six billion, five hundred and two million, eight hundred and sixty seven thousand, one hundred and twenty people in the world, give or take a few and sometimes all you need is one. For better or for worse."
