5th Season

e4- In Between Days
Peyton: Brooke, What's wrong ?

Brooke(sobbing and eating ice-cream): The store is a total failure.

Peyton: What are you talking about ?

Brooke: I didn't sell one real piece tonight. Well, i sold a dress. But it was a pity purchase and it does not count. And the worst part is that Victoria saw this all coming. My mother is right - when i am left up to my own devices, I'm a failure.

Peyton: No. Hey, listen to me. You were never a failure, okay? I mean you won three cheerleading competitions, And what did Victoria have to say about that? Oh wait nothing ! cause' she wasn't there. She also wasn't there when you won the miss june bug title at the county fair Or when you were elected the student body president. Brooke if you are a failure then what does it make me ?

Brooke: Pretty lame, i guess.

Peyton: mmm.....Hmm

Brooke: Okay, I don't want to talk about my night anymore. Tell me about the dishy bartender.

e05- I forgot to remember to forget
Flashback

Coach Durham: That was hell of a move tonight.

Nathan: Soon as the ball left my hand, i knew it was going in.

Coach Durham: I'm talking about after the game. Look, I didn't put off my pension so you can beat up any jack ass that heckles you.

Nathan: I know. I'm sorry.

Coach Durham: You've worked hard this season. A lot of eyes are on you. But you've get to be careful. If you are not that temper of yours will be all you have left.

Nathan: I just don't know if people are ever gonna forget the mistakes I've made.

Coach Durham: The important thing is for you to get past them. This is not going to go away just by playing better. You've to live better.

Nathan: I know. You are right i get it coach.

Coach Durham: Nathan, I just don't want you to look back down the road in a couple of years and wonder what might have been. We all know where that path can lead a man.

Nathan: Dan.

Coach Durham(smiles): For the record, that last shot was a hell of a move.

Lucas: Hey, Coach !

Coach Durham: Hey!

Lucas: So, 37 years of coaching, where does this night rank?

Coach Durham: Well, this would be number 3. Number two was your high-school championship.

Lucas: And what was the first?

Coach Durham: The first was the night Camilla agreed to join a scrawny kid, just embarking on a 37 year coaching career.

Lucas: There are more important thinmgs in life than basketball.

Coach Durham: That's right.

Lucas and Lindsey meeting for the first time.

Lucas: I just wanted to say thank you for changing my life.

Lindsey: That was all you Lucas. But can I ask you something ?

Lucas: Yeah.

Lindsey: The Luke and Peyton in the novel....

Lucas: No.

Lindsey: I'm Sorry. I was rooting for them.

e07- In Da Club
Lucas: Lemme ask you something. Do you have an alarm in your head that goes off every time I'm happy with someone else? Wht do you want from me? I fly to L.A., I ask you to marry me. You said no, so I moved on. Why haven't you?

Peyton: 'Cause I should have said yes. Luke, I was young. And was scared. And I did not realize that by saying I wasn't ready, it would mean that we would never be together again. Had i known that, I would have said yes.

Lucas: Peyton .....

Peyton: No, Luke, I miss you everyday. And i have told everyone here that I didn't come back for you. But I did. Ofcourse I did. I still love you lucas.

Lucas: Peyton I...........

Peyton: You still love me don't you?

Lucas: I have to go see Lindsey.

e08- Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want
Voiceover by Lucas:

Suddenly, it was as if roar of the crowd, the echo of the final buzzer, the cheers of my teammates were all sounding from a thousand miles away. And what remained in that bizzare muffled silence was only peyton, the girl whose art and passion and beauty had changed my life. In that moment, my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity, the realization that we had always been meant for each other, and every instinct to the contrary had simply been a denial of the following truth. I was now and would always be in love with Peyton Sawyer.

Voiceover by Peyton:

Dear Molly, this is gonna sound a little strange, but I'd like you to paint over my old closet door. The thing is, there is never a time when you'll be more honest, when your convictions will be stronger or your motives will be more pure than they are right now. Which means you should chase whatever it is that excites you. Be confident and take risks. And paint over my words so you can start writing your own. My story might have inspired you, but I'm certain your story will inspire the next girl to live in our room. I want you to know you don't need somebody to write about yoi in order for your life to mean something. You can write about yourself. Make your own destiny. Then, years from now, the next girl will keep what you write on that door long enough to remind you of how inspired your life is. And you can tell that girl to paint over the door, because you realize the words you wrote, the friends you had, the urgency you felt will always be there underneath the paint. The love you professed will always be there, the spark of something undeniable, a seed of hope, the truth, for better or for worse, burning fiercely, just below the surface. Love, Peyton.

e09-For Tonight You're Only Here To Know
Voiceover by Mouth:

Take a look at this picture. What do you see? There's a high school basketball game tonight somewhere in america, and there's a great story there. But sometimes, to find it, you have to look away.... into the shadows, on the fringe of the obvious. Can you see it ? Look Closer.

There was a high school basketball game tonight somewhere in america. A team won and a team lost. That's not the real story. The real story is about fathers and sons. Its about time and life. And change. Girls and Boys went to the game. They dressed up and hoped to fir in. Some did. Some didn't. It is a story that has history and chapters yet to be written.

e11-Your Gonna Need Someone On Your Side
Voiceover by Lucas:

Albert Camus once wrote, "Blessed are the hearts that can bend. They shall never be broken." But I wonder.... If there's no breaking, then there's no healing. And if there's no healing, then there is no learning. And if there's no learning, then there's no struggle. But the struggle is a part of life, So must all hearts be broken ?

e12- Hundred
Voiceover by Lucas:

When I was aboy, my family took me on a trip. We didn't go to any exotic place. We didn't go anywhere glamorous. We just drove. We drove the back road to the tree hill, and we saw all kinds of wonderful things. But we ended up really wasn't the point. It was the things we saw and the people we met along the way. Something happened that day....... something magical. My Uncle let me drive. That was one of the best days of my life. Just like today.

e13-Echoes Silence Patience and Grace
Voiceover by Peyton, Lucas, Brooke, Nathan and Haley:

Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it's right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it. You just might get the thing you're wishing for. The world is full of magic. You just have to believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it. With all your heart.

e14-What Do You Go Home To
Morning time, people getting up thinking about the people they love.

Lucas: Lindsey. She's the first thing i think about every day. "How is she?" "Does she miss me like i miss her?" "How do i get her back?" And then another day without her begins.

Peyton: Lucas.

Jamie: Chester.

Brooke: Brooke. Oh, my god. I have to pee.

Skills: What day is it? What time is it? What the hell did i drink last night?

Marvin: Umm....Millecent, you smell so good. I have to go to work. Sure I guess I could be a little late.

Haley, Nathan: Jamie.

Dan: Keith.
________________________________________________

Voiceover by Dan:

It's been said that the saddest thing a man will ever face is what might have been ? But what of the man who's faced with what was? Or what may never be? Or what can no longer be? Choosing the right path is never easy. It's a decision we make with only our hearts to guide us. But sometimes we find our way to something better. Sometimes we fight through the regret and remorse of our mistakes, our malice and our jealously and the shame we feel for not being the people we were meant to be. And that's when we find our way to something better or something better finds its way to us.

e15- Life Is Short
Voiceover by Lucas:

Sometimes when you're young, you think nothing can hurt you. It's like being invincible. Your whole life is ahead of you, and you have big plans. Big plans. To find your perfect match. The one that completes you. But as you get older, you realize it's not always that easy. It's not until the end of your life that you realize how the plans you made were simply plans. At the end, when you're looking back instead of forward, you want to believe that you made the most of what life gave you. You want to believe that you're leaving something good behind. You want it all to have mattered.

e16- Cryin' Won't Help You Now
Voiceover by Lucas:

There were many who couldn't understand, and sometimes he walked among them. But even in his darkest hours, he knew in his heart, that someday it would return to him. And his world would be whole again. And his belief in god and love and art would be reawakened in his heart.
